Day 42 of #BoxsterRoadTrip and the weather was absolutely fantastic!
We woke up to a spectacular sunrise over the harbor, followed by breakfast in bed. It can’t get much better than that!
We started the day with a walk down to the Long Wharf and then we took the USS Constitution Cruise on the Boston Harbor Cruise Line. It was a 45 minute cruise around Boston Harbor with narration, and it was a great way to start the day and get a little bit familiar with the harbor.
After the cruise, we decided to just take a walk. We wandered up to the Old North Church and were treated to a choir rehearsal while we toured the church. While it was a “rehearsal”, it was pretty darn good and a nice audio backdrop to a beautiful historical church.
We left the church and walked to the Granary Burying Ground, where Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and many other notable persons are buried.
We ended the day with a lovely dinner at the Chart House, which is the Long Wharf’s oldest surviving structure, formerly the Hancock Counting House. Our wonderful waiter, Christopher Michael, helped to make this a very special evening. Chris has an effervescent personality and was, without a doubt, the best waiter we’ve had on our journey, thus far. If you are in the Boston area and dine at the Chart House, ask for Chris. You won’t be sorry.
Tomorrow, the weather is supposed to be a little warmer than today with a few clouds, so . . .
The journey continues . . .
